Objective
The aim of this course is to provide participants with knowledge of H2S, equipment, and procedures, as well as practical experience with the use of protective equipment. The participants will learn where and when H2S can occur, and how the gas spreads under different conditions. Participants will be familiar with examples of procedures that apply to H2S areas. Participants will also be able to use personal protective equipment and be knowledgeable in life-saving first aid for H2S accidents.

- Use of relevant protective materials and measuring equipment

Scenarios for gas fire:
Overview of fresh air equipment
What is the effect of H2S hazard, how much can one tolerate, for how long, etc.
Overview of ammonia gases (theory only), how long can one be exposed to different concentrations, and what should be observed.
Cooling of threatened objects
Rescue of individuals
Shutting off valves
Use of fire extinguishers and other firefighting equipment
Combined scenarios with first aid
