Oil and Gas OR Maritime personnel who will be performing the duties as Fast Rescue Craft
crew members.
Prerequisites
This is a US Coast Guard approved course and meets the requirements of Table A-V1/2-2 of
the STCW code. This course satisfies the requirements of 46 CFR 10.302.
Objective
Provide Fast Rescue Boat personnel with training in safe launch rescue of personnel. Includes
review & demo of latest available & proven technologies (GPS, MOB Recovery, other) in
addition to basic navigation equipment such as compass, speed, RPM chart, radar assist.
Search patterns are covered & exercised. Much emphasis is placed upon the type of patterns
often needed in oil & gas sector. MOB drills will include night time operations. Will include a
review of other resources likely available to your SAR crew (air & marine support) & how to
coordinate.
