Objective
Upon completion of the training, the delegate will be able to > properly use fall protection equipment > be able to assist with the rescue of a suspended worker > perform company specific PPE inspection > perform company specific + donning a harness + use of safety straps + tying off with Style A lanyards + use of a Talon Self Retracting Lanyard (SRL)
Course content
The course will include information on the following: > Fall arresting equipment > Full body harness > Tie-off points > Inspections and maintenance > The six steps of PFAS > Rescue plan > Site specific rescue assessments > Developing a post-fall rescue plan > OSHA and PFAS Falls > The seven phases of a PFAS rescue > Emergency response > Rescue equipment > A rescue practical > Using the "First Man Up" pole > Pason Safety Memo: Approved Fall Protection Devices > Pason Fall Protection PPE inspection
Exam
The delegate will be required to attain a minimum score of 70% on a written assessment and be deemed satisfactory on a practical rescue performance.
