All personnel who perform activities at a location where Hydrogen Sulphide may be encountered.
Prerequisites
There are no training pre-requisites for this course.
Objective
The objective of the H2S Awareness including Breathing Apparatus training programme is to equip delegates with theoretical knowledge and understanding of hydrogen sulphide and to give delegates an introduction into the safe use of breathing apparatus equipment and operation procedures including rescue techniques.
Course content
The course covers a variety of topics including;
• H2S properties and characteristics
• H2S detection
• Safety precautions
• Escape equipment
• First aid
• Practical BA wearing and procedures
• Rescue techniques and procedures
Exam
The course consists of theoretical training and delegates will have to demonstrate their knowledge and understanding of the course elements.
Upon successful completion of the training, delegates will be issued with a RelyOn Nutec certificate.
