Target group

The vessels operating crew who needs to refresh their certificate and their ability to operate life rafts, lifeboats and man-over-board boats.

Prerequisites

Valid Survival craft & Rescueboat certificate STCW A-VI 2-1 and / or Valid Certificate of Competency (CoC) Valid health certificate

Objective

To refresh the knowledge and skills needed to act as crew on a Lifeboat, MOB boat or Life raft. The course is acording to STCW 2010, table A-VI/2-1.

Course content

Delegates will undergo practical training in the following subjects Operation and construction of: - Liferafts - Lifeboats - Man-over-board boats - Life saving appliances Life-saving first aid, haemorrhage, shock and hypothermia. THE COURSE IS CONDUCTED AS A COMBINATION COURSE WITH OTHER BOAT COURSES

Exam

None, but all course must be completed with satisfaction for handing out certificate.
