Objective
In the 3-day module Working with Loads knowledge on possible risks, (inspection of) equipment, legislation etc. will be provided as well as al skills required for working with loads en movements of cranes and their ability and the forces within all the equipment used for lifting. By offering a sound course consisting of both theoretical and practical training RelyOnNutec is aiming to contribute to a safer work environment for personnel in the offshore industry.

Determine mass and weight.

To choose and use different lifting tools in a correct way.
To order a load to be moved by crane with the use of radio¿s.
To take precautions regarding the safety of all activities.
To perform daily maintenance on lifting equipment.
Storing and registration of lifting equipment.
Wear and tear on lifting equipment.
Inspection and testing criteria.
Containers type, construction, loading and slinging in of the different types of containers.
Winches, chain hoists, tirfors and sheeves.

Exam
Study targets given are test criteria for: - Written or oral assessment of the theoretical knowledge; - Final assessment by the instructor of the practical exercises; If all the learning targets are tested and assessed with a pass (responsibility of the institute) the course will be registered in the Personal Safety Logbook.
