Prerequisites
Certificate Basic Fire Fighting and Prevention (A-VI/1-2).
Objective
To receive appropriate and approved basic training in fire fighting and fire prevention as set out
in table A-VI/1-2
Course content
Fire prevention and fire fighting according to table A-VI/1-2:
- Elements of fire
- Classification of fire
- Spread of fire
- Extinguishing agents
- Sources of ignition
- Use of portable extinguishers
- Fire fighting scenario's
Exam
Demonstration of competence, in accordance with the methods and the criteria for evaluating
competence.
Specification of minimum standard of competence in fire prevention and fire fighting, according
to table A-VI/1-2
