Target group
This course is designed to teach those invovled in their installations' Emergency Command Centre (ECC), what assistance their OIM needs during a major emergency by using scenario based training. The sessions can be conducted using a generic offshore platform or tailored to specific company or personnel employed on different types of Installations
Prerequisites
ITEMS TO BRING: All delegates must bring Photographic I.D. and PASSPORT only (original or copy) HEALTH: All delegates will be asked to complete a medical questionnaire prior to course commencement.
Objective
After Completion, Delegates will be able to: Identify and understand emergency considerations Understand the theory of Emergency Management Understand Command and Control structures within the ECC Effectively use appropriate information management systems Understand the effects of stress during emergencies and mitigate it effectively
Course content
Topics Include: Emergency Considerations Theory of Emergency Management Dealing with Stress in Yourself and the team Information Management Systems Delegates will take part in simulated emergencies of incidents that can be managed and controlled by emergency teams on installations, leading up to events that are no longer controllable and evacuation of the installation. The severity of the emergency type is increased as the competency levels of the delegates develops.
Exam
Certification of competency will be issued on completion of the course. Delegates should report to reception for 08.00hrs, course starts at 08.15hrs, unless otherwise stated.
