Trainees are expected to be in a good state of health and physically capable of taking part in and completing all practical exercises.
TRAINEES NEED TO BRING:
- Coveralls
- CSA Approved Footwear (safety boots)
- Government issued Photo ID (ie. Drivers LIcence, Passport, etc.)
Objective
Upon successful completion of all training components, in accordance with the Training Standard, trainees will receive a "Technical Rope Rescue" certificate from RelyOnNutec Canada that is valid for three (3) years.
Course content
The Technical Rope Rescue course has been developed to provide high angle rescue training for industrial rescue team personnel. This course will focus on instructing the required techniques and explaining the equipment to safely rig various rescue systems and perform a variety of rescues at height.
Topics include: review of applicable regulations & codes; knots and anchor rigging techniques; rappelling and rope climbing; pick-off rescue techniques; raising and lowering systems rigging; and patient packaging using a basket litter.
