This course is aimed at personnel who form part of the Emergency Response organisation onboard offshore facilities and who are required to manage major emergencies.
Prerequisites
This course is of more benefit to attendees who have worked as part of the Major Emergency Response Team offshore, such as OIM, production and maintenance superintendents, on scene commander, fire team leader, medic, radio operator, control room operator, muster checkers and lifeboat coxswains. Proficiency in written and spoken English is a must.
Objective
- To train personnel through theory, simulation and practical demonstration in the techniques of Management of Major Emergencies.
- To review and test company procedures relating to Emergency Response.
- To identify deficiencies in the site Emergency Response.
