The Foundation Plus course delivers the main CompEx introductory subjects such as ATEX, DSEAR and general hazardous area theory. The course aims to assist those who have not worked in or have limited experience of working in hazardous areas offering those who attend the opportunity to practice necessary skills and have them
assessed.
Prerequisites
The course is an ideal introduction for people considering taking CompEx units Ex01-Ex04 (Gas & Vapour) and Ex05-Ex06 (Dust) at a later date or those who are not yet or recently qualified technicians.

Exam
Assessments include an online multichoice theory exam and a 1 ½ hour practical installation assessment. On successful completion of the assessments, an internationally recognised certificate in CompEx Foundation Plus will be issued.
