Target group
Persons who infrequently visits to WTG environments.
Prerequisites
All personnel participating in Wind Limited Access Offshore Limited Access Training shall be medically fit and capable of fully participating. Prerequisites also include the completion of the Onshore Limited Access Module as part of a single day training of the GWO Wind Limited Access Standard. NOTE: For safety and equipment maximum weight capacity, participants cannot exceed 275 lbs. if participating in this module.
Objective
The aims of this Offshore Limited Access are, to build upon the skills and knowledge gained in the onshore module, giving participants the ability to act safely and responsibly when participating in a supervised visit to an offshore WTG environment during normal operations. Overall learning objective: After successfully having completed this Offshore Limited Access Module, the participants have the ability to act safely and responsibly during a supervised visit to an offshore WTG environment and to take limited responsibility for their own safety at sea and during transfers.
Course content
The GWO Wind Limited Access Onshore Limited Access module covers the following topics: • Measures to prevent injury during training • Practical Sea Survival • Safe travel and transfer (theoretical) • Transfer Practical • Training review
Exam
Trainees shall be assessed according to the learning outcomes by means of direct observation and oral and/ or written questions, where appropriate.
