This Product is for individuals who have been appointed or are to be appointed to the Internal Verifier role.
Prerequisites
There are no specific entry requirements however, the learner must have access to a minimum of two assessors undertaking an assessment process to verify in their workplace
Objective
To introduce learners to their responsibilities and limitations within the assessment process, and to equip them the basic knowledge and skills to allow them to undertake the role and to allow learners to demonstrate they have gained sufficient knowledge and skills to allow them to undertake the role in their workplace

Carrying out planned quality assurance monitoring
Standardisation
Recording outcomes of quality assurance monitoring
Providing feedback to Assessors
Provide guidance and support to assessors in a variety of situations
Make verification decisions whilst ensuring consistency and quality of assessment decisions with appropriate sampling processes
Identify variances in decisions between assessors or locations
Provide constructive verification feedback to assessors in challenging situations
Actively participate in a standardisation meeting
Develop a sampling plan
Produce an Internal verification report
Accurately Record Feedback
Carry out a Standardisation activity
Exam
Learners will need to complete Internal Verification Workplace evidence in which they have 18 months to collate and supply the information to RelyOn Nutec following completion of theory training.
If successful learners will be awarded an OPITO approved Internal Verifier Vocational Qualification, these are formal Qualifications that are included on the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF)
