This course is designed for employees working at heights where there is a risk of falling. It is ideal for individuals in construction, maintenance, wind energy, telecommunications, and other industries where working at height is part of the job.
Prerequisites
No specific prerequisites are required, but participants are recommended to have a basic understanding of occupational health and safety procedures. Participants should be physically able to engage in practical exercises.
Objective
After the course, participants will:
Understand the applicable rules and standards for working at height.
Be able to perform user checks of personal fall protection equipment (PPE).
Correctly use fall arrest harnesses, shock absorbers, and self-retracting lifelines (SRL).
Apply support straps correctly in their work.
Demonstrate skills in the practical use of fall protection equipment through exercises.

08.00 – 08.15: Welcome, safety, and presentation
Introduction to the course, safety measures, and participant presentation.
08.15 – 08.30: Rules & standards
Overview of relevant legislation, standards, and best practices for working at height.
08.30 – 09.00: User check of PPE
Instructions on how to inspect and maintain personal fall protection equipment.
09.00 – 09.30: Fall arrest harness
Correct application and adjustment of fall arrest harnesses.
09.30 – 10.00: Shock absorber & SRL
Function and correct use of shock absorbers and self-retracting lifelines.
10.00 – 10.20: Break
10.20 – 10.35: Support strap
Use of support straps in fall protection systems.
10.35 – 11.45: Practical exercises
Hands-on exercises with fall protection equipment under supervision.
11.45 – 12.00: Conclusion and evaluation
Recap of the day and evaluation of participants' learning and feedback.
Exam
There is no formal exam associated with this course. Participants' understanding and skills are assessed continuously through practical exercises. A course certificate is issued to participants as proof of course completion, provided they actively participate and demonstrate correct use of fall protection equipment.
