The aim of this WorkSafe level 1 course is to instruct users on how the permit to work system operates and provide an overview of the WorkSafe system.
Course content
LO1: State the purpose of electronic Control of Work (eCoW) systems
LO2: Identify the main types and purposes of Control of Work documents
LO3: Explain the TRA and permit lifecycle
LO4: Identify the main roles within a typical eCoW system and the responsibilities of each role
LO5: Define the terms, hazard, risk, controls and ALARP
LO6: Explain risks associated with work-related hazards
LO7: Identify and explain the main steps of a typical task risk assessment process
LO8: Explain the requirement to communicate effectively with everyone involved at the worksite
LO9: Explain the stop-work authority
LO10: Explain briefly how the E-cow system operates
Exam
The assessment is taken during the course and is within the expected duration.
