Travel Safely by Boat Further Training

The Travel Safely by Boat – Further training is to refresh and revalidate Travel Safely by Boat Training is for all personnel travelling and transferring by boat to an offshore installation.

Training entry and medical entry requirements must be met. Learners must hold a valid OPITO Approved Travel Safely by Boat certificate. NOTE: Learners who are in possession of a current BOSIET(with EBS), FOET(with EBS), HUET (with EBS), Tropical BOSIET, Tropical FOET, Tropical HUET, BOSIET (with CA-EBS), HUET (with CA-EBS) or FOET (with CA-EBS) are NOT required to participate in practical life raft and in-water sea survival exercises. Training activities contained within this Product may include physically demanding and potentially stressful elements. All personnel who participate in such activities must be capable of participating fully. Trainees will undergo a medical screening by completing an appropriate medical declaration form at center.

The objective of the TSbB - Further training is to refresh the safety and emergency response skills of personnel who have previously successfully completed their TSbB Initial Training.

This course covers the following contents: 1.The safety requirements covering safe embarkation and disembarkation, and individual responsibilities. 2.Safety procedures and control of hazards during swing rope transfers. 3.Acting correctly in the event of an emergency. 4.Safe Boarding a marine life raft from water including use of PPE. 5.Initial and secondary emergency response actions including In-water survival techniques.
