Basic Safety training with E-learning for helicopter crew incl. the use of HABD / Grunnleggende sikkerhetskurs med E-læring for helikoptermannskap inkl. HABD

Civilian helicopter crew/SAR service who need to go offshore.

The prerequisites for this course are a Basic Safety course certificate in accordance with the Offshore Norway standards no older than 4 years and a certificate in accordance with JAR-OPS 3/EASA no older than 3 years.

(JAR-OPS3/EASA) The delegates will acquire knowledge of preparation for an emergency landing on water as well as being able to evacuate efficiently unassisted from a helicopter both above and below water. Participants must be able to: -Evacuate out of a helicopter underwater both with and without the use of HABD -Lead evacuation of passengers and crew from an emergency landing helicopter - Facilitate and carry out life-saving first aid, as well as be able to extinguish / fight minor fires on board the helicopter. Offshore Norway -Evacuate unassisted out of a helicopter using a breathing apparatus -Carry out life-saving first aid, extinguish minor fires, use of rescue equipment in accordance with the Offshore Norway curriculum.

Theory: - Preparations for emergency landing for crew -Evacuation procedures -The helicopter's emergency systems and equipment -Rescue at sea and use of rescue equipment. Practical: -Organised evacuation from helicopter -Underwater evacuation from helicopter simulator with breathing apparatus -Exercises in shallow water with and without HABD -Underwater evacuation drills from helicopter simulator with and without the use of HABD -Life-saving first aid with CPR -Fire extinguishing with hand extinguishers and fire hose -Stay at sea with life jacket -Use of rescue equipment
