Prerequisites
Objective
This U.S. Coast Guard approved course is designed to meet the specific regulatory requirement for obtaining the Offshore Installation Manager, Barge Supervisor and Ballast Control Operator merchant mariner credential.
Course content
stability theory, stability calculations, ballast control system including pumps, valves, and ship structure concerns, mooring systems, damage control management and how to conduct a damage control drill.
Exam
Upon completion of online course, exam will be administered. Delegates who pass the exam will receive USCG Accredited certificate – Comprehensive Stability & Ballast Control (MATRON-128).
