Objective

The course is available in the following languages: English; Bahasa Malay; Indonesian; Thai; Turkish. The aim of this course is to provide you with the necessary knowledge to safely and effectively deal with any basic spill you may be faced with at your place of work while offshore.

LO1: Describe the working environment LO2: Explain spills and how we can prevent them occurring LO3: Explain how to identify spills and their important safety precautions LO4 Explain the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) LO5: Explain what adsorbents are and how they work LO6: Describe the contents of spill kits and explain how to use them LO7: Identify the Steps of Spill Response LO8: Provide an overview of how oil spills are handled offshore
