The course is available in the following languages: English; Norwegian. The aim of this course is to develop your knowledge and understanding of best practice for offshore cargo handling, as well as an awareness of commonly associated hazards, and how to avoid them.

LO1: List the regulations and governing bodies that relate to the safe handling of cargo. LO2: Explain the roles and responsibilities of individuals within the cargo supply chain. LO3: Describe the hazards associated with dropped objects, and how to check for them. LO4: Explain how to safely prepare for a lift and how to maintain safety during a lift LO5: Summarise lifting operations catergorisation and controls LO6: Explain how to conduct inbound and outbound cargo checks. LO7: Explain best practice when shipping cargo and Dangerous Goods by sea. LO8: Explain best practice when shipping cargo and Dangerous Goods by air. LO9: Summarise they types of issues that lead to non-conforming cargo across the industry LO10: Explain the key principles and best practice when shipping waste
