Target group
Personnel what tasks are related to the drilling of wells, observing the measures to prevent pipe stucks due to failures in the drilling process or specific conditions of the well, evaluating the wells mechanical conditions and its working pressures.
Prerequisites
Basic safety course, sustainable knowledge about drilling wells and interpretation of drilling plans for oil wells.
Objective
Upon completion of the course the delegate will be able to: •Understand the importance of hole cleaning in avoiding stuck pipe and beable to describe hole cleaning practices for vertical, deviated and horizontalwells •Explain the essential principles of rock mechanics as it relates to stuckpipe. •Describe and explain the various mechanisms of stuck pipe. •Identify the symptoms leading to stuck pipe using a range of case studies. •Understand and describe the various techniques and equipment. •Describe the function and usage of drilling jars in stuck pipe situations Contact.
