Workers who perform activities in Classes I, II and III installations and enter areas or locations of extraction, production, storing, transferring and handling of flammable material and combustible liquids, and keep direct contact with process or processing, performing specific activities, precise and on schedule.

Objective
Provide information on hazards, risks and procedures for emergency situations for workers who perform activities in Classes I, II and III installations and enter areas or locations of extraction, production, storing, transferring and handling of flammable material and combustible liquids.
Course content
Theory – 4 hours
1. Flammable: characteristics, aspects, hazards and risks;
2. Collective and individual control for activities with flammable material;
3. Ignition sources and its control;
4. Protection against fires caused by flammable material;
5. Basic procedures in emergency situation involving flammable material.
Practice – 4 hours
1. Knowledge and use of the safety systems against fires caused by flammable material.
2. Simulation of flammable products leakage and use of containment methods (employing Personal and Collective Protective Equipment, Breathing Protection Equipment and Shipboard Oil Pollution Emergency Plan (SOPEP) -Kit).

Exam
Multiple choice exam with minimum passing grade of 70%.
