The vessels operating crew who needs to refresh their ability to operate life rafts, lifeboats and man-over-board boats and needs to refresh their Fast rescue boat certificate at a combined course.
Prerequisites
Valid Survival craft & Rescueboat certificate STCW A-VI 2-1 and/or Valid Certificate of Competency (CoC)
Valid basic Certificate of Competency in Fast rescue Boat A-VI/2-2.
Valid health certificate
Objective
To refresh the knowledge and skills needed to act as crew on a Lifeboat, MOB boat and FRC. The course is according to STCW 2010, table A-VI/2-1 & 2-2.
THE COURSE IS CONDUCTED AS A COMBINATION COURSE WITH OTHER BOAT COURSES
Course content
Operation and construction of:
- Liferafts
- Lifeboats
- Man-over-board boats
- Life saving appliances
- Fast rescue Boat
Life-saving first aid, hemorrhage, shock and hypothermia.
Construction and outfit of FRBs and individual items of their equipment
Exam
None, but all course must be completed with satisfaction for handing out certificate.
