Target group
The Gaia course is designed for electrical engineers who are going to work with Gaia for the first time or want to get acquainted with it. The program is intended for both occasional and frequent users.
Prerequisites
You must have prior electrical engineering education at level 4 of the Education and Vocational Education Act. This level corresponds to a secondary electrotechnical education (mbo/mts-e, tbi or tsi), but you can also achieve it with sufficient knowledge and experience from practice.
Objective
In the Gaia LV Network Design course from RelyOn Quercus, you will learn to analyze and design low-voltage networks using this software package. With the tool, you can easily determine voltage management, the load on grid components and the grounding safety of users in the event of short circuits in the grid. Gaia can also be used to automatically dimension a network based on technical and economic criteria. Gaia LV Network Design is used for planning, design and management of distribution and industrial networks.
Course content
This course covers the main features and functions of Gaia, including: Creation of a new network (model of power grid) Placement of nodes, branches, elements, switches and graphical objects Applying power supply, load and cables Calculating cable diameters Performing an earth safety calculation Calculating voltages and currents in nominal operating conditions
Exam
You can complete the course with a theory exam. There are two options for completing the course: RelyOn certificate Certificate of Participation
