This course is aimed at seagoing personnel designated to take charge and control of fire fighting operations in an emergency. The emphasis of the training is in organization, tactics and command.
Prerequisites
All delegates must be in possession of a valid seafarer medical certificate issued by an approved medical practitioner and show evidence of attending STCW Training in Advanced Firefighting.
Objective
During the course delegates will gain and demonstrate to a level of competence on how to take command, organize and train fire parties and control fire fighting operations. The delegate will acquire acknowledge of fire prevention and an ability to inspect and service fire detection and extinguishing systems and equipment. Delegates will also be able to investigate and report on incidents involving fire.
