The aim of this course is to introduce you to the ATEX Directives and provide you with the necessary information to meet the minimum safety requirements for workplaces that operate in, and use equipment within, explosive atmospheres.
Course content
Outline the two ATEX Directives
Define and describe explosive atmospheres
Explain an employer's duties to protect against and prevent explosions
Describe the zone classification system and the explosion protection document
Recognise ATEX equipment markings
Identify the responsibilities in ensuring compliance in the supply chain
Exam
The assessment is taken during the course and is within the expected duration.
