Objective
The aim of the additional Emergency Breathing System (EBS) training is:
To complement initial offshore safety and emergency response training and assessment (i.e. T-BOSIET or T-HUET) for personnel travelling to an offshore oil and gas installation by helicopter (in a warm water tropical environment) when issued with an Emergency Breathing System (EBS).
The objectives of the additional EBS training delivered in conjunction with the T-BOSIET or T-HUET programme are to:
• Ensure delegates are familiar with the use of the Emergency Breathing System (EBS)
• Ensure that delegates understand their basic emergency response actions during a helicopter emergency using the EBS
Course content
This course is made up of the following modules:
• Use of Emergency Breathing System (EBS)
• Practical helicopter escape techniques using EBS
Exam
Delegates will be assessed using direct observation and oral and/or written questions as appropriate.
