Objective
The aim and objective of the OFERTM Initial Training Programme is to equip personnel with the necessary knowledge, understanding and skills to perform the role of Onshore Fire/Emergency Response Team Member effectively.
Course content
The course consists of practical and theoretical training and knowledge of: • Offshore Emergency Response Arrangements • Teamwork and Communications. • Entering the Incident Area • Selection and Operation of Firefighting Equipment • Working Duration Breathing Apparatus • Search and Rescue • Casualty Recovery • Using Portable Equipment on a Range of Fires • Non-fire Incidents
Exam
On completion of this course, a written assessment will be taken.
