The course is designed for personnel intending to work on an offshore installation in the Tropical Region and forms part of a common Offshore Safety Induction process.
Prerequisites
A valid TBOSIET certificate is required to attend this training programme.
Objective
To provide delegates with a basic level of understanding and awareness of safety and emergency response on offshore installations.
Delegates will be required to demonstrate their skills and a level of knowledge and understanding of key areas, as defined in the OPITO Standard for Tropical Basic Offshore Safety Induction & Emergency Training.

- Sea Survival
- Fire Fighting and Self Rescue
Exam
Delegates will be assessed using direct observation.
