The course is designed to meet further offshore safety and emergency response and assessment for personnel working on an offshore installation.
Prerequisites
A valid OPITO BOSIET certificate (which is 3 months or less to its expiration date) is required to attend this training programme.
Objective
To provide delegates with a basic level of understanding and awareness of safety and emergency response on offshore installations.
Delegates will be required to demonstrate their skills and a level of knowledge and understanding of key areas, as defined in the OPITO Standard for Basic Offshore Safety Induction & Emergency Training.
Course content
This course is focused on the following elements:
• Safety Induction
• Helicopter Safety & Escape
• Sea Survival
• Fire Fighting and Self Rescue
• Emergency Breathing System (EBS)
Exam
Delegates will be assessed using direct observation.
