This course is designed for personnel who are involved in dispensing of Helifuel on an offshore installation . This course focuses on awareness on refuelling procedures and what to do in case of spills on the deck.
Prerequisites
Delegates are required to have experience and understanding of Helideck Operations.
Objective
On successful completion of this course, delegates will have a greater knowledge and understanding of what to do before and during helicopter refueling.
Course content
This course consists of training and knowledge of:
• Definition of jet A1 --- fuel characteristics
• Fuel additives
• Quality control checks /record keepings
• Refuelling equipment inspection and maintenance
• Duties of HLO during the refuelling
• Duties of the helideck assistants during the refuelling
• Types of helicopter refuelling ports
• Refuelling procedures
• Emergency response during refuelling
Exam
On completion of this course, a written assessment will be taken.
