This training programme is designed to meet the initial offshore safety and emergency response training requirements for personnel new (or returning) to the offshore oil and gas industry in a tropical environment and all personal currently travelling and transferring by boat to an offshore oil and gas installation.
Prerequisites
No prior training is required to attend this training programme.
ITEMS TO BRING: All delegates must bring Photographic I.D. and PASSPORT only (original or copy)
HEALTH: All delegates will be asked to complete a medical questionnaire prior to course commencement.
Objective
The aim and objective of the T-BOSIET course is to introduce delegates to the specific safety issues and regimes relevant to offshore installations, and to equip them with the basic emergency response knowledge and skills for travelling to and from offshore installations by helicopter and / or Boat including safely transferring to or from an offshore installation in a tropical environment.

Awareness of the risks to which they are exposed and
how they are managed.
An understanding of the essential safety rules with which they must comply and how to act in an emergency.
An increase in their personnel commitment to safety.
Effective use of personnel safety equipment.
Practice and demonstrate correct method of boat transfers (simulated boat deck and installation).
Exam
OPITO approved certification for Tropical Basic Offshore Safety Induction & Emergency Training & Travel Safely by Boat will be issued on successful completion of the training programme.
The validity of the OPITO certificates is 4 years.
Delegates should report to reception for 08.00hrs, course starts at 08.15hrs, unless otherwise stated.
