TBOSIET & Travel Safely by Boat

This training programme is designed to meet the initial offshore safety and emergency response training requirements for personnel new (or returning) to the offshore oil and gas industry in a tropical environment and all personal currently travelling and transferring by boat to an offshore oil and gas installation.

No prior training is required to attend this training programme. ITEMS TO BRING: All delegates must bring Photographic I.D. and PASSPORT only (original or copy) HEALTH: All delegates will be asked to complete a medical questionnaire prior to course commencement.

The aim and objective of the T-BOSIET course is to introduce delegates to the specific safety issues and regimes relevant to offshore installations, and to equip them with the basic emergency response knowledge and skills for travelling to and from offshore installations by helicopter and / or Boat including safely transferring to or from an offshore installation in a tropical environment.

Delegates will receive theoretical and practical knowledge in the following areas: Safety Induction: Industry and Installation Overview Offshore Hazards Managing Offshore Safety Controlling Offshore Hazards Regulating Offshore Safety Living and Working Offshore Helicopter Safety and Escape: Helicopter Travel Helicopter Emergencies and Escape Sea Survival and First Aid: Evacuation Procedures Emergency First Aid Firefighting and Self Rescue: Firefighting Offshore Self-Rescue Travel Safely by Boat: Awareness of the risks to which they are exposed and how they are managed. An understanding of the essential safety rules with which they must comply and how to act in an emergency. An increase in their personnel commitment to safety. Effective use of personnel safety equipment. Practice and demonstrate correct method of boat transfers (simulated boat deck and installation).
