Target group
This programme is designed to those personnel required to perform the advanced rescue skills in the confined spaces (of any type).
Prerequisites
ITEMS TO BRING: All delegates must bring Photographic I.D. and PASSPORT only (original or copy) HEALTH: All delegates will be asked to complete a medical questionnaire prior to course commencement.
Objective
The aim and objectives of the Confined Space - Rescue training programme is to specifically concentrates on the advanced rescue skills required to provide on-site cover for those working in confined spaces. It assumes previous qualification in entry and SCBA, and covers searching, advanced winching and hauling systems, operations in reduced visibility, incident management and immediate-response risk assessment (IRRA).
Course content
Delegates will receive theoretical and practical knowledge in the following areas Summary of the Regulations/Best working practices Dangerous atmospheres Gas detection equipment Review of vertical access & traverse techniques Rescue incident management Immediate-response risk assessment Advanced emergency procedures & searches Rigging of rescue hauling systems Use of rescue stretchers Casualty care Practical exercises both vertical and horizontal rescue(reduced visibility)
Exam
RelyOn Nutec approved certification for `Confined Space - Rescue' will be issued on successful completion of the training programme. The validity of the certificate is three years. Delegates should report to reception for 08.00hrs, course starts at 08.15hrs, unless otherwise stated.
