About the course

Target group
This course is aimed at personnel who form part of the Emergency Response organisation onboard offshore facilities and who are required to manage major emergencies. The sessions can be conducted using a generic offshore platform or tailored to specific company or personnel employed on different types of Installations.
Prerequisites
No prior training achievement required. A reasonable command of English language is required ITEMS TO BRING: All delegates must bring Photographic I.D. and PASSPORT only (original or copy) HEALTH: All delegates will be asked to complete a medical questionnaire prior to course commencement.
Objective
To provide persons with responsibility for managing and controlling emergencies an opportunity to practice such operations and processes in a controlled manner. The training will expose candidates to emergency scenarios that can be designed around their actual installations operation and Emergency Response Procedures.
Course content
The course focuses on the following elements: Maintain a State of Readiness Assess Situation and Take Effective Action Maintain Communications Delegate Authority to Act Managing Individual and Team Performance Deal with Stress in Self and Others At the end of the Course attendees will be able to: Demonstrate an improved understanding of the relevant standard, particularly in the areas of: Planning Assertiveness Options on available resources Validation of data Public Address Use of Drawings Communication with Agencies Escape routes Boundaries Escalation Shutdown facilities Procedures
Exam
A RelyOn Nutec appraisal report will be issued on successful completion of the course. Delegates should report to reception for 08.00hrs, course starts at 08.15hrs, unless otherwise stated.
