Dangerous Goods By Air Awareness

Up until mid 2005, HLO's and Helideck staff, amongst others were handling, storing and loading onboard offshore helicopters various types of Dangerous Goods, with very little or no knowledge of what they were actually dealing with and had little idea of the damage that could be created and the actions to be taken if something was to go wrong. After a purge by the CAA's Dangerous Goods office, steps were put in place by the then UKOOA, which issued a safety brief back in August 2005 implementing corrective measures that had to be addressed

ITEMS TO BRING: All delegates must bring Photographic I.D. and PASSPORT only (original or copy) HEALTH: All delegates will be asked to complete a medical questionnaire prior to course commencement.

To provide delegates with a general awareness and an insight into rolls and responsibilities from being able to recognise the UN classification system, through to accident and incident procedures, as stated in the course content.
