Prerequisites
No pre-requisites required. However, a good level of fitness would be preferred. No beard policy will be implemented.
ITEMS TO BRING: All delegates must bring Photographic I.D. and PASSPORT only (original or copy)
HEALTH: All delegates will be asked to complete a medical questionnaire prior to course commencement.
Objective
The course consists of theoretical input and practical exercises developed to measure competence relating to the key learning outcomes of the standards for Emergency Response
Team Member initial training.

Course content
The course consists of practical and theoretical training and knowledge of:
The role of the Emergency Response Team Member
Basic Principles on the theory of combustion
Emergency Response Team Operations when dealing with non-fire incidents
Preparing to enter, and gaining access to the incident area
Using best working practices and procedures
Locating missing personnel
Handling and removing casualties
Selecting and using portable fire-fighting equipment
Selecting, operating and flushing foam fire-fighting equipment
Extinguish a fire and/or securing an area
Maintaining communications
Exam
On successful completion of the training programme delegates will be issued with a completion
certificate.
Validity 3 years or clients request.
Delegates should report to reception for 08.00hrs, course starts at 08.15hrs, unless otherwise stated.
