Target group
This OPITO approved course is designed to meet the further live practice onshore training and assessment requirements for Offshore Emergency Response Team Leader further as identified in the Oil & Gas UK Guidelines for Competence and Training in Emergency Response, to enable them to join and lead Offshore Emergency Response Teams for further installation-specific duties, training and development.
Prerequisites
Delegates must be in possession of a valid Offshore Emergency Response Team Leader certificate or a valid Further Offshore Emergency Response Team Leader certificate ITEMS TO BRING: All delegates must bring Photographic I.D. and PASSPORT only (original or copy) HEALTH: All delegates will be asked to complete a medical questionnaire prior to course commencement.
Objective
The course consists of theoretical input and practical exercises developed to measure competence relating to the key learning outcomes of the OPITO standard for Further Offshore Emergency Response Team Leader training. Theory input 5% Practical exercises 95%
Course content
The course consists of practical and theoretical training and knowledge of skills in: Maintaining communications Allocating and confirming the teams duties and tasks Monitoring the teams progress; evaluating, adjusting and communicating the response plan Monitoring stress in self and others Debriefing the team and extended coaching will be provided where necessary
Exam
Delegates will be assessed against the defined training outcomes of the current OPITO standard. Once successfully meeting the learning outcomes, delegates will be issued an OPITO approved Further Offshore Emergency Response Team Leader certificate which is valid for 2 years Delegates should report to reception for 08.00hrs, course starts at 08.15hrs, unless otherwise stated.
