The IRATA Rope Access Level 3 is intended for those who already have the Level 2 certification and wish to progress to become a more advanced and competent rope access technician.
Prerequisites
Delegates must have held an IRATA Level 2 certification for at least 1 year and have a minimum of 1,000 hours of experience completed in their logbook at Level 2.
Objective
The aim of this course is to ensure delegates have the knowledge and skills to work safely and undertake advanced work using rope access and be competent to work without supervision
Course content
By the end of this rope access training programme delegates will be able to:
• Supervise rope access work projects
• Understand relevant work techniques and legislation
• Demonstrate advanced rescue techniques
• Have knowledge of the IRATA training, assessment and certification scheme
• Be familiar with the contents of the IRATA International Code of Practice (ICOP).
Exam
An assessment is conducted by an external examiner on the final day. Candidates will receive IRATA Rope Access Level 3 certification on successful completion of the course and assessment.
Certification is valid for three years. Candidates must then undertake reassessment to remain certified.
