Target group
Personnel involved in the tasks of movements and lifting of loads in industrial environments with the help of mechanical lifting equipment.
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of industrial safety, manual load handling course, physical fitness.
Objective
Upon completion of the course the delegate will be able to: Hazard identifications and risks assesment in the lifting and rigging and slinging works. Establish risk controls and correctly select the specific PPE for lifting and rigging and slinging tasks. Know about safe lifting, rigging and slinging.
Course content
The following topics are covered during the training: Introduction. Definitions. Work to reduce accidents due to rigging and slinging, lifting operations. Describe proper rigging procedures. Demonstrate knowledge of the regulations and regulations related to lifting maneuvers. Establish criteria to evaluate and inspect the lifting equipment. Identify lifting equipment and accessories used by handlers. Demonstrate correct handlers signs. Verification messy (rigging) (vertical, caulked, choked, 2/4 parts greater than or equal to 60 degrees. Industrial Security Requirements. Requirements of Health at Work. Perform the inspection of the lifting equipment prior to the lifting operations, rigging and slinging. Practice safety lifting operations.
