Target group
Workers responsible of lifting materials operations, rigging and slinging equipment and materials, riggings and slinging planning supervisor and lifting tasks, as well as foremen, corporals, supervisors and heads of areas where material handling tasks are performed with mechanical equipment.
Prerequisites
Curso Rigging and Slinging API RP 2D 7th. Edition APIU approved or equivalent.
Objective
Upon completion of the course the delegate will be able to: Identify and apply LOLER regulations for lifting operations. Recognize and Compliance PUWER and HASAWA complementary regulations.
Course content
The following topics will be covered during the course: Introduction European and international Regulatory framework. Applicable standards LOLER (Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations) PUWER, Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations, HASAWA, Health and Safety at Work Act, UK. Lifting tasks roles and functions. Hazard identification and risk assessment in lifting tasks. Integration of a lifting plan, (Rigging and slinging). Polluting agents that affect the health of workers in lifting tasks. Inspection of the lifting equipment and accessories that will be used before each task.
