Designed to teach delegates the requirements for safe use of CCU (Cargo Carrying Units) and lifting equipment in an offshore operation. The course covers the use and inspection of lifting equipment in line with LOLER requirements and specifically the requirements for inspection and testing of a CCU with provision of a practical exercise for the delegates.

Objective
Upon completion of the course, the delegate will be able to:
•Perform complete pre-use inspections of a CCU, slings, andassociated lifting sets.
•Recognize hazards associated with CCU use
NOTE: Delegates will be issued with a RelyOn Nutec certificate to demonstrate successful completion of the course.

•Lifting equipment
•CCU standards.
•Safety and correct use of lifting equipment and lifting sets.
•Inspection of lifting equipment
•Inspection of CCU equipment
Exam
Delegate necessary skills shall be evaluated through written, practical, and oral assessment.
NOTE: Successful completion of the course does NOT designate the delegate as a Certified CCUs Inspector; The distinction of being considered “certified” must be determined by the employer.
