Prerequisites
A valid Fall Protection training certificate from a Workplace NL approved training provider. ITEMS REQUIRED FOR TRAINING: - When checking in for training, please have your GOVERNMENT ISSUED PHOTO ID with you (ie: Passport or Drivers Licences, etc.) PLEASE NOTE: Certificates CANNOT be issued unless valid Government issued ID has been presented on Day 1 of training for all RONC courses.
Objective
This course is designed for individuals who will be responsible for the inspection of fall protection equipment. Participants will become familiar with the various CSA standards, manufacturer's requirements, and regulations pertaining to the inspection of the following types of fall protection equipment: full-body harnesses, energy absorbing lanyards, anchorage connectors, carabiners, vertical lifelines, fall arresters, self-retracting devices, as well as metal, plastic, and webbing components. A written and practical exam will provide participants with hands-on experience in inspecting various equipment from different manufacturers. All candidates will receive a certificate valid for three years.
