The LS - 2 Star Skilled Person Requalification is intended for employees whose low-voltage skilled person certificate is about to expire and who want a refresher course. The requalification is also suitable if you have failed the regular course and still want to obtain the certificate.
Prerequisites
To follow the Re-qualification Skilled Person LS - 2 Stars, you must have a valid STIPEL certificate (minimum VP-LS or VP**).
Objective
The RelyOn Quercus Re-qualification for Skilled Persons LS - 2 Stars focuses on working safely on and around electrical installations. The re-qualification is a shortened version of the regular Low Voltage course for skilled persons. The refresher course is ideal for boosting your knowledge of the potential dangers during electrical work and the precautions to take. After the LS - 2 Star Re-qualification for Competent Persons, you will always know whether it is safe to continue working on low-voltage electrical installations.
Course content
The LS - 2 Star Skilled Person Requalification Course covers the following topics:
Refresher on NEN 3140, the Working Conditions Act and European standards
Operating low-voltage electrical installations NEN 3140
Overcurrent protection
Power systems and automatic power cut-off
Network structure
Dangers of electricity
Protection against touching live parts
Switching equipment
Currents and power
Three-phase motors
Personal protective equipment
Exam
You can conclude the Requalification for Skilled LS Person - 2 Stars with a theory and practical exam.
There are two ways to complete the refresher course:
Stipel certificate
Proof of participation
Note: have you previously been Stipel certified for NEN 3140 professional competent person LS? Then you are exempt from the basic test for this certificate, provided you obtain the certificate no later than two years after the expiry of the period of validity.
