Target group
All seafares employed in shipping companies with Onboard Training Declaration agreement with RelyOn Nutec.
Prerequisites
As a prerequisite for attending the 1 day combined STCW refresher course provided by RelyOn Nutec, the responsible person (Captain / Designated Person Ashore) verifies the seafarer, participating in the course has: - fulfilled the requirement of 12 month sailing time within the last 5 years and - successfully performed tasks/duties/training, drills and exercises, related to the relevant course modules as defined in a designated task report, signed by the responsible person. - delegates needs to have a valid seafarers medical. Booking can only be made by the Seafarer’s company by mail or phone.
Objective
The STCW Combined refresher course is designed so it is possible to take five refresher parts in one day of 8 Hours. This is possible due to the in STCW convention accepted on board training and experience for certain areas: STCW A-VI/1-1 Personal survival techniques STCW A-VI/1-2 Fire Prevention & Fire-fighting STCW A-VI/3 Advanced firefighting STCW A-VI/2-1 Survival craft and rescue boats STCW A-VI/ 2-2 Fast rescue boats. A successful participation in the 1-day combined STCW Refresher course will provide the related refresher evidence documentation, valid for 5 years and approved by the Danish Maritime Authority(DMA). The documentation will be released directly to the participant on behalf of the DMA by RelyOn Nutec.
Course content
The training to be performed in our training center would be executed in a scenario-based approach: •A-VI/1-1 Personal Survival Techniques : To take appropriate measures in operation of lifesaving appliances, personal as well as collective. •A-VI/1-2 Fire Prevention and Fire-fighting : To take appropriate measures for the safety of personnel and of the ship, to use fire appliances correctly and have knowledge of fire prevention •A-VI/3 Advanced Fire-fighting : To take appropriate measures for command and evaluation of the situation. •A-VI/2-1 Survival Craft and rescue boats other than fast rescue boats : To take appropriate measures in operation of life boats and rescue crafts. •A-VI/2-2 Fast Rescue Boats : To take appropriate measures in operation of fast rescue boats.
