The Basic Safety Training (BST) is designed to provide personnel with the basic skills that will enable them to work in a safe manner in the wind industry and to meet emergency response training requirements for personnel new to the wind industry. It is designed to accommodate personnel working offshore.

Objective
The aim of this module is to administer safe and effective First Aid in the windturbine industry - environment in accordance with GWO First Aid training through theoretical and practical training.
Course content
All learning outcomes which are stated in the GWO BST Module First Aid.
Which are:
- Global and National legislation
- Anatomy
- Management of an incident
- Life saving First Aid
- Use of AED (Automatic External Defibrillator)
- Scenario based practical exercises
Exam
Delegates will assessed according to the learning outcomes by means of direct observation and supplementary oral questions where appropriate.
The assessment is to be conducted by practical based on the WTG (Wind Turbine Generator) environment.
The validation period for this module is 24 months.
Course is conducted at RelyOn Belgium at Ostend.
