Target group
The Basic Technical Training modules are targeted at candidates who have no previous experience of hydraulic, mechanical or electrical systems but may also be used to up skill candidates who have some knowledge but not of their application in wind turbines
Prerequisites
Delegates shall have created a personal Delegate profile in WINDA and provide their own WINDA ID prior to completing the BTT training. Valid GWO WINDA ID: https://winda.globalwindsafety.org/
Objective
Having successfully completed the BTT Electrical Module, participants will be able to: 1) Explain the basics of electricity 2) Explain risks and hazards associated with electrical work 3) Recognise the function and symbol of electrical components 4) Explain the function of different types of sensors 5) Explain and interpret a simple electrical diagram, and perform assembly of it on a circuit 6) Perform correct and safe measurements
Course content
BTT covers knowledge and skills to carry out basic mechanical, electrical and hydraulic tasks (supervised by an experienced technician), using safe working procedures and the correct PPE.
