The STCW Updated Certificate of Proficiency in Survival Craft & Rescue Boats (U-PSCRB) Route 1 qualification must be completed every 5 years by seafarers holding an existing Proficiency in Survival Craft & Rescue Boats (PSCRB) qualification in order to maintain proficiency under the STCW 2010 Manila Amendments (STCW Section A-VI/2).
Prerequisites
Proof of completing Proficiency in Survival Craft & Rescue Boats training or equivalent as well as Personal Survival Techniques training within the last 5 years is required.
Seafarers who have a previous Proficiency in Survival Craft & Rescue Boats (or equivalent) certificate and who have maintained the required standard of competence by onboard training and experience for all competencies listed in the self-declaration form.
Delegates are requested to provide a signed self-declaration form as a pre-requisite to attending the reduced hours entry route of the STCW revalidation course which is provided as part of your joining instructions.

This Route 1 revalidation course comprises theory and practical sessions, where candidates are required to be fit enough to undertake practical drills in handling inflatable rescue boats, life boats and life rafts.
