This OPITO approved programme is designed and specified for Offshore Standby Vessel crew undertaking FRC Boatman duties, with the overall objective of teaching boat handling, rescue and recovery of personnel and casualty care and VHF communications.
Prerequisites
Delegates must have previously attended the Initial Shipboard Operations training (ITSO) and have completed at least 3 months sea-time, with a minimum of 1 month as a SBV crew member.
Objective
The training course consists of multiple elements developed to impart knowledge and understanding and competence to participate as a crew member of a Fast Rescue Craft. Delegates will be continually assessed against defined learning outcomes.
