Objective
The assurance the employees are able to operate selected abrasive wheel equipment safely.
Course content
• Select the correct cutting/grinding wheel for the material to be used.
• Select appropriate machine for type of task.
• Carryout user checks on machines and cutting/grinding wheels.
• Fit abrasive wheel to machine in accordance with manufacturer's instructions.
• Select and use appropriate personal safety equipment.
• Safely operate the selected machine/s whilst cutting/grinding.
Exam
Workshop and classroom based tuition with hands on experience in mounting wheels and cutting/grinding operations on selected abrasive wheel equipment.
