Objective
• Confidence that the Mechanical/Maintenance staff members can carry out their own electrical isolation procedure on the equipment they are maintaining, competently and safely.
Course content
• Dangers of Electricity.
• Relevant statutory Safety Regulations (EAWR 89).
• HS(G)85 Safe Working Practices.
• Single Point Safe Isolation procedure.
• Equipment required to carry out the Isolation Procedure.
Exam
The course is delivered in the classroom with a practical demonstration and hands on practical on a Single Point Isolation.
Learners assessed in written and practical exercises.
